[br][br]Eric was a good friend, son and brother. To those who knew him, they knew his quick wit, humor, intelligence and generosity. She is survived by her husband James South, her children: Dan (Heather)Zintman, Jaron Carlson, Tyler Hanson, Heather Carlson, Cody South-Irvine, Hunter South, her mother: Christie Doucette, her sister: Nicole (Ken) La Beau Morris, her aunt: Trudy Cobb, and her grandchildren: Connor and Kayden Zintman. Michelle was born in Ishpeming, MI and was a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a degree in Cosmetology. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, gardening, and spending time with her family. Private service are going to held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family.

HUGHES, JOAN C
[br][br]Joan Hughes passed away at the wonderful age of 83. She was born in Carthage, MO, but moved with her parents, John and Mabel Simpson, to Minnesota, Illinois and California, settling in Lewiston, ID after WWII. However, Joan spent most of her life in Spokane, in the home in which she passed away.
She was a gem - a small, precious, shiny multi-faceted person who loved art, music, books, gardening and family. Of course, the latter included her many cats & kittens. Just like a gem, she shone a reflection of glittery light for us all to enjoy. She was a lover of the knitting needle, taking great joy in creating and even greater joy in giving her creations to family, grandkids, great grandkids and to those in need. Hats, scarves and gloves - she did all she could to give everyone a warm Christmas. She was at peace with the Lord and will be another shining soul for heaven. As her family, we find joy in that, although she will still be missed.
We will have the great fortune to have Mom looking down upon us who are still here. She was preceded in death by her former husband, William Gerald Trent. She leaves for the moment her children Chrystine Kellems, Becky Burnett (David), Margie Lewellen, Michelle Eccles (Jim), John Trent (Alida), Joe Trent (Annette), her 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Services 1-12-15 at 2:30 PM at Westminster Presbyterian 2705 West Boone.

HAM, BETTY JEAN
[br][br]Betty Jean Ham, 87, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Lake Point Manor in Franklin, Wisconsin. Betty leaves to join her parents, James Earl and Florence Katheryn Ham, and her two younger brothers, James and Frank Ham.
She leaves behind her children of heart, Gayatri Patel, Mrinalini Ingram , and Vrajesh Patel, her "babykins" who she looked after for several years, Justin and Chandra Ingram, and her sister-in-law, Alfreda Ham, along with many friends.
Born and raised in Tennessee, Betty later spent much of her life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she owned and operated a few apartment complexes. She later moved to Spokane, Washington where she took care of Natvar and Geeta Patel's children for many years before she ventured out to create the "Busy Bee Day Care Center" which she ran for nearly a decade. Betty was exceptionally close to all the children and filled their days with music, art, and lots of love and laughter.
Betty was an artist creating many beautiful wall murals in her homes and lovely oil paintings on canvas. Betty's warm smile and infectious laughter brightened every room she entered. She was a warm and generous spirit and will be dearly missed.
A small family service will be held in Dickson, Tennessee, at the Slayden Missionary Baptist Church, where she will rest alongside her parents.

GALLUP, EDWARD
[br][br]On December 23, 2014 Edward (Ned) Gallup of Rathdrum Idaho, age 67, went to be with the Lord.
Ned was born October 1, 1947 in Denver, Colorado. He and his family moved to Seattle Washington when he was 3 years old and remained throughout his childhood.
As a young man he served our country in Vietnam.
He worked for the City of Spokane as an Electrical inspector, he love his job and colleagues very much. He was also very passionate about teaching and taught HVAC classes in Spokane.
Ned was an avid fisherman who enjoyed his time on the lake fishing with friends and family. Ned was dedicated to catch and release as you can see by his requested photo, the great release after an awesome catch. This time as he was preparing the fish for release it clamped down on his hand with one big chomp and boy did he and his two boys get a good laugh out of that. Those of you who knew Ned, I'm sure, can hear that contagious laugh as you're reading this.
Ned's genuine spirit made him stand out. He was loved by all he met and will be greatly missed.

DAY, BRIAN J
[br][br]Brian John Day, 53, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2015, after a 2-year courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 24, 1961, in Millington, TN, to Robert and Helen Day. He was a graduate of Ferris High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Washington State University. He worked as an environmental regulatory specialist at Hanford Site in Richland WA for several decades. Brian truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with and helping family and friends, playing and watching sports (especially the Seahawks), and spending time with his beloved dog, Xena, at dog parks in both Richland and Spokane. Brian had an uncanny ability to reach people in positive ways through his extraordinary humor, compassion, and patience. He is survived by his mother, Helen Day; a sister, Valerie Rhodes; a brother, Craig Day; nephew and niece, Corey and Clara Day; a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and, of course, many friends (especially those from the dog parks that became family). Memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Spokane; services will be held in the Spring.
