[br][br]James (Jim) Ray Hunt, age 69 of Cheney, passed away Jan. 31, 2015, in Spokane, WA. Jim was born September 14, 1945, in Newport News, VA. He married Janet Mayfield in 1971, in Newport News and they moved to the Cheney area in 1972, where he worked in retail until retiring in 2004. His hobbies included gardening, model airplanes, cars & trains, and playing horseshoes. He is survived by his wife Janet K. Hunt; daughters, Tonya M. Hunt, Tracy R. (Roy) Bridgens, Nicole G. (David) Droll, and Abby K. (Vincent) Casey; brother, Alan G. Hunt; grandchildren Aaron West, Kelsey and Justin Young, Jordyn and Paige Bridgens, Jillian Droll, Camilla and Deacon James Casey; and great-grandson Joshua Castillo. He is preceded in death by his father, Nick Hunt, mother, Grace (Donithan) Hunt; and brother, Gary L. Hunt. Jim loved family and God. His family takes comfort knowing he is in the very best possible hands now. In fact, along with all the wonders he is experiencing, we imagine he is delighting in personal performances by Elvis Presley, himself, enjoying more Bing cherries, M&M's, and corn on the cob than he could ever possibly eat before, and has a squirt gun in hand, just waiting for the rest of us to show up. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by family & friends. Private Service planned.
