
[br][br]Tom Asbury was born in Spokane WA in 1943. He graduated from West Valley High School, and obtained a degree in Theology from Bob Jones University, and was serving as the Pastor of Spokane Baptist Church. He loved to ride horses, watch basketball and wrestling, and work on his ranch.Tom went home to be with his Saviour on Thursday June 12th. He was on his way to pray on Mt. Spokane when God called him up higher to talk face to face. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters and his father Bob and step father George Cook. He is survived by his mother Marguerite Cook, his brother Bob Asbury (Barb). Also by his wife Jan, her two sons Keith and Jared Nichols, her two daughters Misty Mason (Greg), and Heather Tucker (Josh) and 4 grandchilden. He is also survived by his son Reg Asbury, his daughters Dara Asbury (Dan), Tamara DeFrance, Sara Townsend, Elizabeth Bakke (Eric), Deborah Lampley (Jon), Angela Asbury, Christina Englehardt (Aaron) and 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Tom was a passionate follower of Christ, an avid soul-winner, and helped to plant churches in New York, Idaho, and Washington. He was dearly loved by his church family, all those whom he introduced to Christ and baptized, and by his wife and family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 21st at 1pm at Spokane Baptist Church, 12817 E Broadway Ave, Spokane.
