[br][br]Dennis went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 28, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 5, 1954, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Cynthia (Bishop) and George Grobmeier. Dennis graduated from Medical Lake High School and went on to the University of Idaho and Gonzaga University where he majored in Economics. An ardent Christian, Denny's life was characterized by his genuine love for people, manifest by the many service organizations and care related jobs he chose in his adult life. As a youth, Dennis demonstrated advanced skills in chess and basketball. He was musically blessed, playing both the guitar and piano by ear. Dennis loved to travel, watch basketball, listen to music, and visit people. Never one to complain, even as cancer ravaged his body, Denny will be remembered for his compassionate and generous nature--"He would give someone his very last dollar even if it meant he would go without." Dennis is survived by his parents, brothers Jim and John, sister Linda Loos; and his nieces and nephews. Our family is deeply grateful for the care given by Dr. Peter Schlegel at Cancer Care Northwest and by the wonder staff at Franklin Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be held at the Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N Country Homes, Blvd on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10 a.m.
