[br][br]Mike was born in Spokane on April 12, 1953, and grew up across from Manito Park where he had many adventures. He passed away with his beloved family by his side on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Mike graduated from Lewis & Clark High School, served in the US Army Reserves, and retired from Safeway after 30 years.
Mike deeply loved his family. They spent many happy times camping at Priest Lake, ID. He loved nature, fishing, hunting, and cooking. Mike was very caring and always there when family or friends needed him. Mike is dearly remembered for his kindness, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his children, Heather Rueb (Charlie), Colton Peterson, and Kayla Schreiber (Kody); former wife, Nancy Peterson; brothers Kenneth and Timothy Peterson; sister Christine Silver (Dan); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Peterson, and his brother, Gary Lansing.
A private celebration of his life will be held at Priest Lake this summer.
