SPENCER, RAYMOND L

[br][br]Parents Herbert John, and Martha May Bartlett Spencer. Ray was born on a small farm north of Prosser WA where he attended school and worked for local farmers and on construction projects until entering the Army August 24, 1942. He was sent to Camp Beal CA where he served as a Military Policeman for 2 years and 8 months. He was shipped overseas to France where he served 11 months with CO.C389th MPBN. March 24,1946 Staff Seargeant Spencer was Honorably Discharged at Fort Lewis WA. After Serving his country Ray returned to Prosser and again worked for local farmers and did construction. March 6, 1947 he married Elfrieda Klages. They moved to Sandpoint where Ray lived for over 50 years and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He worked on Construction projects building bridges, overpasses and many road jobs in the Northwest. Elfrieda passed away March 10, 1981. March 9,1991 Ray married Erma Ferderer and moved to Ritzville WA. He loved bowling and when Qwest came to Spokane he did his best to help them stay in business until he turned 99 and decided they would make it without his help. Erma passed away March 12, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, all 5 of his siblings the last and youngest Verna Bloxem March 30, 2016. also one step daughter Kathy Lindell.
