ZACHERL, FRANCES M

[br][br]Frances M. Zacherl, familiarly called Fran by both friends and relatives, entered eternity on Tuesday morning , July 7th after an extended fight with cancer. She was born to John and Mary Buhl Carlson on March 20, 1945 in Cutbank, Montana. At the age of four, she moved with her family to Spokane where she attended local schools, graduating from Mead Senior High School in 1963 and Deaconess Hospital School of Medical Record Technicians in May of 1965. Throughout her working career, she was a skilled transcriptionist in medical offices in both California and Oregon. In 1967 she met and after a short courtship, married her husband, Andrew E. Zacherl while living and working in San Leandro, California . Together they became the proud parents of two daughters, Lara and Audra and grandparents of Emily and Alexandra Stinger. In 2003, she retired from Hood River's La Clinica Health Clinic as personnel director and with her husband, relocated to their present home in Spokane. Fran maintained her interest and connection to the medical community by volunteering at the Providence Holy Family hospital Besides being an avid reader, she enjoyed cooking, traveling and socializing with her high school girlfriends. She also cherished the time she spent with her granddaughters. Fran was predeceased by her parents and an infant brother. She will be inurned in the family burial plot at the Fish Creek Cemetery, Whitehall, Montana at a private memorial service attended by family members.
